Add New

The Add New mode is used for assets that function as standalone objects. These are typically generators that do not require a target mesh or curve to operate.

When you select an asset with this type, it will be spawned into your scene and automatically follow your cursor for placement.

Interactive Controls

Once the asset is spawned, you can move and adjust it before final placement. The following controls are available:

  • CONFIRM: Left Click to place the asset in its current position.
  • CANCEL: ESC to cancel the operation and remove the object.
  • RESIZE: SHIFT + MOUSE WHEEL to scale the asset.
  • ROTATE: CTRL + MOUSE WHEEL to rotate the asset around its local axis.
  • Machinegun Mode: M to toggle machinegun mode. This allows you to keep placing instances of the asset without having to re-select the asset.

Surface Snapping

During the placement phase, the asset will automatically snap to surfaces of other objects in your scene and align its rotation to the surface normals, making it easy to place elements exactly where they belong.
