FAQ

Will materials created with Sanctus Procedural Mapping work for users without the addon?

Yes, the addon appends a custom node that will function in Blender even without the addon installed. Ensure that the object using the material has "Rest Position" enabled.

Pro Tip

The Rest Position data is embedded in the Blender file; therefore, users without the addon can still open and render scenes using Sanctus materials.

Does it work in EEVEE and Cycles?

Yes, Sanctus Procedural Mapping is compatible with both EEVEE and Cycles render engines.

Can I manually add a Rest Position?

Yes. If you do not have the addon but want to use a material created with Sanctus Procedural Mapping, you can manually add a Rest Position.

  1. Select the object using the material.
  2. Navigate to the object's Data Properties.
  3. In the Shape Keys panel, activate the "Add Rest Position" checkbox.
