Texture with variation guide

tiles-on-surface-textureb

Introduction

We will be using a single material to texture your tiles with variation between them

  1. Apply "Tiles on Surface Texture" to your object (remember to apply the scale if you scaled your object).
I'll be using this basic geometry in the example

blender-o3636f6oew

  1. Take note of the material being used by the bricks in the modifier's tab

By default "tiles_demo_texture" but if you have multiple instances of the generator it can have a suffix .001, .002

  1. Go to the Shader Editor and selecting your object chose the material with the same name (if you don't see the nodes you can use HOME in your keyboard to center the nodes in the shader editor).

  1. You can now replace the image textures or even add more if you need. Always use the vector coming from the UV Map+ node for your Image Texture Nodes.
Use the parameters in the UV Map+ node to scale, offset and randomize the textures.
