Limitations and Best Practices
The addon utilizes the object's rest position for texture mapping. Consequently, any modifier that alters the object's shape and geometry will also deform the texture. While often unnoticeable, this can lead to texture stretching in extreme cases.
Example: Cylinder with Subdivision Surface applied.
Solutions
To avoid texture deformation, apply modifiers affecting the object's geometry and topology before applying textures using Sanctus Library. This ensures the texture is mapped to the final, desired shape.
Workflow: Apply Subdivision Surface and Bevel Modifiers.
After applying these modifiers, you can freely use rigs, shape keys, modifiers, and geometry nodes to animate and deform the object without affecting the texture. The texture will remain in place.
