How to install expansions

There are two ways to use the expansions: as a standalone product or as an expansion within Sanctus Library.

You need Sanctus Library version 3.1.1 or later to install expansions (the free LITE version of Sanctus Library can also install expansions).

Restart Blender

If you have just installed or updated the Sanctus Library addon, make sure you restart Blender before installing the Expansion to avoid errors.

  1. Download the Expansion_Name_expansion.zip file (for example, Liquid_Works_expansion.zip) from the store where you purchased it.
  2. Extract the file into a local folder of your choice.
  3. Go to Sanctus Library Preferences in Blender: File > Preferences > Add-ons. Search for "Sanctus Library". In the addon preferences, click the "Expansions" tab.
  4. Click the "Install Expansion" button and navigate to the folder where you extracted the expansion files. Select the Expansion_Name.expansion file (for example, Liquid_Works.expansion) and click the "Install" Button.
  5. The library should take a moment to refresh. You will then be able to find all the assets inside a category with the expansion name in the addon panel.
  1. Download the Expansion_Name_AB.zip file (for example, Liquid_Works_AB.zip) from the store where you purchased it.
  2. Extract the contents into a local folder of your choice. This should result in two files: a .blend file containing all the assets, and a .txt file containing the categories.
  3. Open Blender and navigate to Edit > Preferences > File Paths.
  4. In the "Asset Libraries" section, click the plus (+) button and add a desired name and the file path to the folder where you extracted the files.
  5. In the hamburger menu icon, save preferences.
  6. You should now be able to access the assets from the Asset Browser.
